Where Do Peyton and the Colts Go From Here?

No Tony Dungy and no Marvin Harrison. What are the Indianpolis Colts to do without two guys that have been with the team for the last 13 years?

WR Marvin Harrsion has been with the team for the entirety of his 13 year career which began in 1996, two years before QB Peyton Manning came along. The two have combined for more touchdowns, receptions and yards than any other QB/WR combination in NFL history.

But it's not just about the quarterback and wide receiver's relationship. What about the head coach? There will be no Tony Dungy in Indianapolis for the first time since 2001. Dungy who coached the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before making the transition to Indianapolis, never had a losing season in Indianapolis. His worst record being 10-6 in 2002. After having that bad taste that a 10-6 season leaves in a coach's mouth when it results in a 41-0 playoff loss to the Jets, Dungy turned around and led the Colts to the playoffs six straight years including a superbowl win in the 2006-07 season.

Where do the Colts go from here? Or better yet, where does Peyton Manning go from here? Stop for a moment and put yourself in Manning's shoes, or in this case...cleats. What do you do from this point on? For the first time in your, now 12 year career you are without your ace WR Marvin Harrison. After spending all but two your playoff experiences with Head Coach Tony Dungy, where do you go from here? Well you go out and do what Peyton Manning does best, be a quarterback and lead your team into the playoffs yet again!

And don't blow it! Especially don't blow it against the New England Patriots. Get into the new head coach's schemes and be happy that your throwing to three time pro bowler Reggie Wayne. Who for the last couple years has set in as a potential replacment for Harrison. But beware of the Tennessee Titans, who have a solid defense and after winning the AFC South last year they are once again breathing down Indy's neck.
